Project Officer – Addressing Wahid Peace Village Supporting a Resilient Community through Strengthening Farmers’ Capacities in Climate Action
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Project Officer to provide our program.
Position Purpose/Objective
Project Officer and the team are responsible for implementing community strengthening programs & activities for assisting in activities to increase the capacity of institutional human resources aimed at sustaining an efficient, effective and responsive system.
Accountability/Working Relationships
Project Officer is responsible to the Program Manager who will directly supervise programs and activities related to increasing organizational capacity, coordination, accountability and monitoring to ensure quality project deliverables are established. Project Officer also coordinates with other divisions, such as Operations, Program Manager/Coordinator, Finance, HRGA/Procurement Officer.
Job Description
- Prepare and manage work plans related to strengthening communities and increasing organizational capacity, both internal and external.
- Grouping and mentoring of village communities and farmer groups, supporting community empowerment and applicable intervention programs.
- Implement and monitor Program work, carry out strategic oversight of the framework and reporting mechanisms.
- Prepare TOR and make reports in narrative form periodically.
- Prepare Program activities, including managing and supervising the work of the Project Assistant.
- Document and prepare publication content and actively coordinate with media and campaign teams.
- Building partnerships, networks and communities with civil society organizations, academics, media and policy makers at regional and national levels.
- Provide recommendations related to education sector policies and community empowerment based on the values promoted by the organization.
- Develop guidelines and knowledge products regarding community and institutional capacity building.
- Compile and prepare program activity reports and other reports as requested, Research & Data collection activities related to the village.
- Actively promote WF values including: EEO, gender equality, social inclusion, anti-discrimination, anti-harassment and tolerance in every program activity related to gender, age, religion, sexual preference, marital status, health, ethnicity or political affiliation.
- Actively involved in discussions related to his/her field of work, and Socialization activities at the village level.
- Carrying out development/expansion of work programs in the area of his duties.
- Carry out other institutional tasks that may be reasonably required related to the field of work.
- Contribute to the development work of the Wahid Foundation, to encourage the realization of the organization’s vision and mission.
- Carrying out administrative tasks in accordance with his field of work, including managing resources under his responsibility.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field, and with minimum 5 years of work experiences in a similar role
- Working experience in NGO or International non-governmental organizations (INGO)
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good communication and negotiating skills.
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent written and spoken Bahasa Indonesian and English
- Ability to work independently on complex project in an entrepreneurial manner, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;
- Excellent attitude to the work and self-motivated persona with sensitivity to cultural context;

Project Assistant (PA)
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Project Assistant (PA) to provide our program.
Project Assistant (PA) is responsible for providing administrative support to assist Project Officers and program operations and related teams. PA also functions to maintain operational efficiency and help ensure the continuity of program activities in accordance with the work plan, as follows:
1. Data collection activities related to the village.
2. Socialization activities at the village level.
3. Grouping and mentoring of village communities and farmer groups.
4. Supporting community empowerment and applicable intervention programs.
Accountability/Working Relationship
PA will work and coordinate with Project Officer & Program Manager and will be supervised directly by Project Officer. In addition, PA also coordinates with other divisions, such as Media Team, Finance, HRGA and Procurement Officer and other teams that support the work of the Institution.
Job Description
1. Manage and implement all operational activities including administration and finance of program and project implementation.
2. Assist the Project Officer in preparing program activity plans.
3. Together with the Project Officer, create a draft of the terms of reference (tor) for activities.
4. Manage materials and products produced by the program and archive them in a predetermined location.
5. Assist the Project Officer in managing, implementing, monitoring and documenting the project.
6. Provide the latest administrative documents, manage documents in hardcopy and softcopy and manage documents in the main storage
7. Responsible for reporting and recording financial administration, stationery, assets and asset lists related to the project cycle.
8. Create project meeting minutes and circulate to meeting participants a maximum of 2 days after the meeting is held.
9. Manage and maintain project-related databases, such as: stakeholder databases, beneficiaries, and others.
10. Identify and select suppliers of goods and services to meet the needs of the right project activities efficiently and maximize the use of available budgets.
11. Create and maintain good relationships with stakeholders, beneficiaries and other partners related to the project.
12. Involved in the preparation of activity reporting for the needs of financial supporting documents used.
13. If necessary, actively involved in assisting activities and promoting Wahid Foundation values.
